Proteas skipper Graeme Smith says he's expecting the off the pitch verbal battles to intensify as the build-up to the first test against Australia continues in Perth. Meanwhile the national selectors will be looking to finalise the one day squad soon.

England have arrived in India under tight security ahead of the first test on Thursday. Reports say Chennai police will use five thousand security personnel, including 300 commandos, to provide cover for both teams.

Chelsea will be hoping to put their stuttering home form behind them tonight. They need at least a draw from their final Champions League group game against Cluj to make the next round. Boss Luiz Felipe Scolari claims he's not feeling the pressure though. Liverpool are already through, b! ut will be looking for a win at PSV Eindhoven to help them leapfrog Atletico Madrid at the top of their group. They're likely to leave key players out though, including Dirk Kuyt who hasn't even travelled with the squad.
